City of Cologne
As the fourth largest city in Germany, Cologne has a lot to offer.
Located in North-Rhine-Westphalia, Cologne is well known for its beautiful cityscape and sights. Right in the heart of the city center the famous Kölner Dom can be found which was completed in 1880.
Since 2010, Cologne has been the venue of the EHF FINAL4s Men. The best teams in European club handball will continue to come to the "Domstadt" to fight for the title after the partnership was extended until 2026.
LANXESS arena
As one of the most modern multifunctional arenas, the LANXESS arena can accommodate up to 20.000 spectators. Since 1998, events of all kinds have been held in this impressive building, located in Cologne´s district Deutz. The LANXESS arena has been the venue of many international sport events.
The EHF FINAL4 Men has been held in the LANXESS arena in Cologne since 2010. Thousands of enthusiastic handball fans come here every year to support their teams and watch spectacular matches. ln 2023 history was made as SC Magdeburg edged Barlinek Industria Kielce 30:29 after extra time in the final to become the new EHF Champions League titleholders.

Ball of Fame - A handball monument
In 2019, the EHF FINAL4 celebrated its 10th edition in the LANXESS arena in Cologne. This milestone was honoured with the erection of a permanently installed monument, the "Ball of Fame".
The “Ball of Fame” features a giant handball in the center surrounded by glass columns representing the former EHF FINAL4 champions. Aligned with the LANXESS arena, the characteristic arch is stretching over the installation.
Handball fans from all over the world and especially during the EHF FINAL4 can marvel at this monument right next to the LANXESS arena until at least 2026.
