Vipers secure historic three-peat
Winning a title in the EHF Champions League Women is a challenging task, but winning three trophies in a row is an even more impressive achievement. Nevertheless, Vipers Kristiansand have established a dominant reign and emerged victorious with a 28-24 triumph over FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria in the EHF Champions League Women 2022/23 final, which took place in a packed MVM Dome in Budapest.
This latest victory is the third trophy in a row for the Norwegian team, taking them into third place on the all-time list of most trophies won in this prestigious European competition.
Remarkably, Vipers Kristiansand are only the second team in history to achieve the remarkable feat of winning three consecutive titles in Europe's premier competition. Previously, Györ achieved this impressive feat in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
