The EHF Court of Handball has reached its decision in a case involving an Anti-Doping rule violation.

During the EHF ebt Finals 2024 in Lacanau, France, the substance cannabinoids/Carboxy-THC greater than the permitted limit was found in a Portuguese player’s urine sample. A provisional suspension was imposed on the player shortly after the competition.

The EHF Court of Handball has reviewed the relevant documents and decided that the player shall be suspended for one year. The period of the provisional suspension shall be credited and half of the suspension is imposed on a suspended basis.

An appeal may be filed to the EHF Court of Appeal within seven days.
