David Späth puts goalkeeper training in webinar spotlight
The next EHF Webinar, on Monday 12 October between 16:00-17:00 CEST, will put the focus on how to train the next generation of goalkeepers. German goalkeeper David Späth will join moderator Bjarte Myrhol to discuss how to raise and develop the next generation of goalkeepers.
Späth and Myrhol will look at goalkeeper training from its fundamentals through to long-term development. The topics will include the mental challenges of being a goalkeeper, including performing under pressure, and the webinar will explore how we can gradually prepare young goalkeepers for the demands of the modern game, while building the right foundations from an early age.
Späth currently plays his club handball for Rhein-Neckar Löwen and is a rising star of the German national team, while Myrhol is a former Norwegian handball player, coach, and co-founder of the Learn Handball app.
Learn Handball is the EHF's official digital coaching partner. The app has just released a new set of exercises focused on goalkeeper coaching; Späth is one of the numerous world-class players working with Learn Handball to deliver its content.
