Highlight Match quiz: How well do you know Monique Tijsterman?

The Women's EHF EURO 2026 Qualifiers returns with an exciting round 3 on Wednesday and Thursday, as 24 teams continue their journey for the final tournament tickets. On Wednesday, 4 March, all eyes will be on the Highlight Match in group 6 at 18:00 CET (live on EHFTV), when Austria welcome Spain in the battle of the top sides.

Led by experienced coach Monique Tijsterman, Austria have high hopes for the game ahead.

Austria started their Women's EHF EURO 2026 Qualifiers campaign with two convincing victories back in October 2025: 39:30 over Israel and 29:22 against Greece. After their 2024 participation — when they qualified as hosts — Austria aim for a second consecutive appearance at the final tournament, under Monique Tijsterman's guidance.

Monique Tijsterman has had an incredible career as a player and coach for various youth, junior and senior teams, and over the years she has contributed to developing young talents.
