• Valur right wing Þórey Anna Ásgeirsdóttir is still leading the race for the top scorer’s crown, with 77 goals
• Porrino left back Micaela Casasola is second on the top scorer list with 65 goals so far
• Valur have chance to write history, as no women's side from Iceland has ever won a European club competition
• Spanish sides have been dominant in the EHF European Cup in recent years, with ATTICGO Bm Elche winning in 2024, Rocasa Gran Canaria in 2022, and Rincon Fertilidad Malaga in 2021; however, Porrino have not won a European trophy

Will more than 30 goals be needed to win?

Valur have faced tough opponents at home in the 2024/25 season so far, but have always brought a strong attacking game – notably in the second leg of the semi-finals, when they beat the 2024 runners-up MSK IUVENTA Michalovce 30:20.

But Porrino have often been more effective, with their highest score this season a 42:18 victory at home against WAT Atzgersdorf in the Last 16. So expect another high-scoring goalfest with the trophy as the final prize.
