Spain, Croatia, Germany and Norway are the next destinations for the featured matches in the men's premium club competition. The Machineseeker EHF Champions League returns with round 4 of the group phase on 9/10 October, when the MOTW travels to Spain, as the only unbeaten team in group B, Barça, welcome Aalborg Håndbold.
The reigning champions will also feature in the following MOTW, when they travel to Croatia to meet HC Zagreb in round 5, on Wednesday 16 October.
A top duel between Füchse Berlin and Paris Saint-Germain awaits in round 6, as both teams aim to grab more points and secure direct quarter-final tickets at the end of the group phase.
In round 7, Kolstad Håndbold will host Aalborg Håndbold in what is expected to be a thrilling MOTW.
When the women’s top flight resumes in the first weekend of October with round 4 of the group phase, HB Ludwigsburg will host Brest Bretagne Handball in the MOTW.
The duel between the two recent runners-up – Ludwigsburg in 2024 (when competing as SG BBM Bietighheim), Brest in 2021 – is scheduled in Germany for Sunday 6 October.
While Ludwigsburg have had a slow start to the 2024/25 season with two points from three matches, Brest are proud leaders of group B with the maximum of six points.
The following week, two currently unbeaten teams in group A are set to lock horns in the MOTW in France on Saturday 12 October: Metz Handball and FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria.
FTC famously downed Metz in the spectacular 2022/23 quarter-finals, but Metz won both duels when the teams met again in the 2023/24 group phase.
In round 6, Metz will remain in the spotlights as they travel to CSM Bucuresti for the MOTW on Sunday 20 October.
The Romanian side has lost seven of the previous 10 matches against Metz, including all three since February 2021, and will be eager to improve this head-to-head stat.
All MOTW games are streamed live on EHFTV with English commentary and receive extensive coverage including exclusive behind-the-scenes footage across all EHF Champions League social media channels as well as on the dedicated live blog on eurohandball.com.
