Reigning champions Barça will begin the defence of their crown when the season throws-off on 11/12 September 2024 with a trip to Norway to play Kolstad Handball. Meanwhile, beaten finalists Aalborg Handbold will welcome HBC Nantes in the opening round, as the French side returns to the competition after a one-year absence.
Another returnee, Dinamo Bucuresti of Romania, will take heart from their positive season in the EHF European League last season when they face newcomers from Denmark, Fredericia HK.
The group phase will pause in early December after 10 rounds ahead of the Christmas and New Year break and the 2025 IHF Men's World Handball Championship. The competition resumes with round 11 on 12/13 February 2025, with the final round of group phase matches taking place on 5/6 March 2025.
